ADMISSION GUIDELINES -2013
Online application forms will be available on the college website from Friday 8th March, 2013. A Demand Draft of Rs.300/-, drawn in favor of the Principal, St. Joseph's College of Commerce, Bangalore – 560 025. Application forms will also be available in the college office from Wednesday, 20th March, 2013 on the payment of Rs.200/-.

Last date to submit the duly filled in application form will be 3 days after the II PUC results are declared (starting from the day of announcement of the results).accompanied with internet copy of the marks card

List of candidates selected for interviews can be viewed on our website and on the college notice board.

While attending the interview, candidates have to produce, attested IIPUC/12th Std marks card, Caste Certificate (where applicable) and letter from the parish priest (incase of Roman Catholic Students).

Once the final interview is over, the selected candidates should pay their fees within 24 hrs. The fee structure will be displayed on the college notice board at the time of admission.

Fee once paid will not be refunded or tranferred to another candidate.

The decision of the Admission Committee, St. Josephs College of Commerce, Bangalore, will be final and binding in all matters concerning admission.
ISC and CBSE candidates are expected to submit the application forms within 2 days of the respective results. A seperate selection list will be posted for these students. The instructions given above for interview remain the same.

The last date for receiving the completed application forms is Friday 19th April 2013.
Those who submit the application form in the office, collect your Receipt cum Admission Slip after submission.
Those who apply online, bring the photocopy of the applciation form & any of the following:
- PAN Card / Voter ID / Driving Lincense / Passport etc.,

Written Test will be held on Monday 22nd April 2013. The candidate will be tested in the areas of General Knowledge, Analytical Ability, English and Basic Mathematics. The duration of the test is one and half hour.

Candidates are expected to produce their Receipt Cum Admission Slip for the Written Test.

The Test will be conducted at St. Josephs College of Commerce, 163 Brigade Road, Bangalore – 560 025 at 10:00a.m.

After the written test, application numbers of shortlisted candidates for the Group Discussion will be displayed on Thursday 23rd April 2013 by 5.00 pm on the college website and the notice board.

The Group Discussion will be held on Wednesday 24th April 2013 at 09:30a.m.

Provisionally selected students will be called for the interview on Thursday 25th & Friday 26th April 2013.

The candidates have to appear for the interview with their parents/guardians

The candidates have to produce all the necessary original documents i.e. Xth and XI Marks Sheet, Caste Certificate (where applicable), and letter from the Parish Priest (in case of Roman Catholic Candidates).

The last date for receiving the filled in applications is 15th April 2013.

Photocopy of SSLC/SSC/X Std. and all Semesters Degree Marks Cards to be attached with the Application Form.

A Written Test will be held on WEdnesday, 1st May 2013. The Written Test will comprise of General Commercial Knowledge, English Language and Quantitative ability.

Personal Interview will be held on 2nd May 2013.

Test Center is St. Joseph’s College of Commerce, 163, Brigade Road, Bangalore – 560 025 (Next to EVA MALL & NITESH LEXINGTON AVENUE).
- The candidates appearing for the written test should bring the following documents with them:
a) Receipt cum Admission Ticket.
b) Photocopy of the application form in case the application has been sent by post.
c) The original PAN Card / Driving License / Election Photo ID Card / Pass Port.

IMPORTANT POINTS (General)

The application form is must be dully filled in by the applicant in his / her own handwriting and it must be submited at the college office on or before the last date for registration.

Since the final marks card may not be available at the time of submission, applicants could fill up the last marks available.

Recommendations in any form will disqualify a candidate from getting admission to the college. Applicants are hereby informed not to bring in any recommendations.

The college does not accept capitation / donations for admissions. You are requested to bring any such request in writing to the notice of the Principal or the Vice President, Bangalore Jesuit Educational Society, Jesuit Nivas, 35, Museum Road, Bangalore – 560 001.

DRESS CODE:
The students are advised to strictly follow the Dress Code. The college code is:
Monday to Thursday - Formals
Boys - formal shirts (half or full sleeves) & pants
Girls - Salwar / Churidhar Kameez
Friday & Sturday - Informal:
Boys - Informal pants & T-shirts (No printed messages)
Girls - Kurtis & Jeans (No sleeveless, tight fits & short tops)
The students of MIB have to come to the college in their uniform on every Wednesdays.
