Library:  

The library has been an integral component of the institution ever since its inception in 1972. The Library is well equipped and has a good collection of reference sources, books and journals in printed as well as in electronic form. Internet facility is available to browse any information in moment and also efficient Online Public Access Cataloging Service is provided to the users. It has its membership with British Library & DELNET.

Services

The following services are available in the library & Information Centre from 9 AM to 5 PM.

  • Bar-coded Circulation
  • Internet
  • Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC)
  • Images Scanning
  • CD & DVD Access and Writing
  • Reprography – Xerox, Scanning and Print-out
  • Audio –Video Services – LCD, More than 500 CD’s VCD’s, Wi-Fi Internet etc..,
  • Membership with British Library & DELNET

General Rules and Regulations

No books shall be taken out of the library without the knowledge of the Librarian and until it has been properly entered in the issues register.

  • Each borrower must examine the condition of the books before they are issued.
  • Anybody in possession of a library book shall return it to the library whenever requisitioned
  • All those who enter the library are expected to maintain silence while they are inside.
  • Reference Books (Dictionaries, Encyclopedia and other rare books) shall not be issued outside the library.
  • The following is a list showing the maximum number of books that may be issued to the various categories of borrowers.
    Members of teaching staff – 20 books
    Degree student -02 books
    PG Students-04 books
  • No one should enter the library Hall with personal books or other belongings without the permission of the librarian.
  • A fine of Rs. 1 per every additional day will be charged on each book borrowed by the defaulting borrower after the due date of return.
  • All library books issued to the borrowers shall be returned to the library before the college closes for summer vacation.

LIBRARY TIMINGS
The library of the college shall remain open for the use of students
MON to FRI 9.00 A.M - 5.00 P.M
SATURDAYS 9.00 A.M - 1.00 P.M
Closed on Sundays and all Public Holidays.
Opening hours vary during vacation.
