Two years four semester full time UGC and Bangalore University recognized programme which includes compulsory internship, learning of foreign languages to give the programme factual international perspective. It has an inbuilt option for students to study and acquire dual qualification namely PGD (Post Graduate Diploma) in the field of specialization i.e., Finance, HR, Marketing alongside MIB (Master of International Business). This program offers the option to additonally acquire MIB from IESEG School of Management by pursuing the final semester in France at IESEG. IESEG is a school having two campuses in cities of Lille and Paris and is ranked among the top 10 business schools in France and accredited by French Government.

The programme aims at training and developing the candidates capabale of holdings Managerial positions in the field of International Trade and Business.
MIB is a two years four semesters full time programme. It is considered as an attractive career option by many students because of the interesting career opportunities it offers. It gives special training to students in various aspects of International Business such as:
- Export and Import Management rules, procedures and documentation involved in Exports and Imports.
- International Marketing in which the students are taught the various methods of approaching customers in foreign countries to obtain orders from them.
- Foreign Exchange management which deals with Currency Conversion, Fluctuation in currency rates and also how to guard against Foreign Exchange Rate fluctuations.
- International Finance, which deals with raising Capital from International Markets.
- International Logistics, which deals with the distribution, network for making the goods from the country of production to the foreign country.
MIB gives a strong foundation in general management subjects and all the basic areas of International Business during the first year. In the second year the students are team aligned into areas of marketing, Finance, Supply Chain Management, etc., with special emphasis on International Business perspective.
In essence, MIB is equivalent to normal MBA with additional inputs on fundamental theories and areas of International Business. In fact the MIB is a specialized management program.
The students specialize in the usual functional areas of Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain Management, etc., But the courses have special emphasis on the International Business perspective. In fact with Globalization and increasing competition from MNCs and foreign competitors, all students must be exposed to global environment. Even domestic companies insist on knowledge of the International Business scenario.
Combined with PGD it prepares the students holistically which is unparalleled. Similarly opting to study 4th semester abroad would make the student a true Global Manager.
- Graduate in any discipline with minimum of 50% marks.
- Candidates with industry experience will be preferred.
- Candidates appearing for the final degree exam can also apply.
- MAT score of more than 700 is accepted and exemption granted from College Admission Test. Such candidates should come for a personal interview on 2nd May 2011.
- Option to study in FRANCE (one semester) and acquire recognized Dual MIB degrees from FRANCE & INDIA.
- Specifically deals with issues of Management in context of International Business.
- Two Foreign Languages (German and French) are taught during the course.
- Provision to pursue Certificate Courses in French Language, Finance Modeling, Security Analysis and Portfolio Management, Graphics Designing, Soft Skill Training, Photo School, Abhinaya-Personality Grooming Program.
- International Business has been listed as the topmost specialized program of management under “Hot Opportunities” in “ASPIRE”, an “India Today” publication.
- Regular sessions of Tally & Excel, English Pronunciation, SPSS, Group Discussions, Mock personal Interviews, Presentation, Seminars, Case Studies, Quantitative Analysis, Data Interpretation, & Verbal Ability as part of regular course for students’ professional and personality development.
- Students will have to do summer internship and project / dissertation.
- Students are to devote time to internship and placement activities and are encouraged to take up part time assignments.
The students of MIB will have the opportunity to study any one of the two foreign languages – German (or) French during their course. Any one of the languages chosen by the student (German or French) will be in progress for three semesters of the course. The students are also given the option of getting themselves registered in Alliance de Francaise for coaching in French language and at Max Muller Bhavan for coaching in German Language. The students registering with the institutes should make sure that they complete the coaching for a minimum period of one year and a half. To facilitate the students who are planning to take up coaching in the institutes, no classes are scheduled on Saturdays and Sundays. The students who intend to go to France are advised to take up French as foreign language.
Good placement opportunities in the following areas are available due to specialized training received by them:
- International Marketing, Departments of Companies having Exports abroad (Automobile Companies such as Tata Motors, Hyundai Motors, etc.,)
- International Placements in company office abroad (MNC’s such as Procter and Gamble, Nestle, etc.)
- In export or import departments of engineering and FMCG Companies.
- In Global shipping companies (Maersk shipping, Mitsubishi shipping).
- In travel houses and tourism sector (Thomas Cook).
- In International Logistics and Courier companies (DHL, Excel Logistics).
- In Consultancy Firms (Mckinsey, Price Waterhouse).
- ` 52,000/- (INR) (Rupees Fifty two thousand only) per semester(including foundation courses and value added programs).
- For PG Diploma `17,500/- (INR) (Rupees Seventeen thousand five hundred only) for the full course.
MIB students who opt for PGD (dual qualification) and study in France, do not have to fill up any separate forms.
