Vinay Kambipura has taught General English and Additional English courses for B.Com and BBA students. He has designed and taught ‘Gender and Leadership’ and ‘Senses of Cinema – An introduction to film criticism’ papers under CBCS system. He has also taught General English for Law students at St. Joseph’s College of Law.

Vinay Kambipura has played a role in designing the curriculum for General English under the autonomous system. He has also designed and taught certificate courses on film appreciation, digital technology and the history of scientific ideas.

Vinay Kambipura is interested in studying culture and society and its relationship with literature. He is also interested in film studies and understanding digital technology and its impact on society.

Completed Research Project:
He has completed a Minor Research Project granted by the UGC on the topic ‘D R Nagaraj’s Contribution to Indian Cultural Criticism’ (2014-18).

Delivered a refresher course lecture at Bangalore University on 21st December 2017 on the topic ‘The General English Class and the Disinterested Student’ for a group of 50 lecturers from all over the country.

Delivered a talk titled ‘Namma DR’ at St. Joseph’s College on 17 March 2017.

Presented a paper titled ‘Gandhi and Thoreau: A Comparison’ in a seminar on ‘Thoreau-Gandhi-Martin Luther King: Cross-cultural Influences’ organized by Department of Political Science, St. Joseph’s College, Bangalore on 30th August, 2011.

Vinay Kambipura is the coordinator of student associations and also a member of the College Editorial Committee.

He was the NSS Programme Officer from 2013-2016.

Mr. Vinay Kambipura edits videos as a hobby and has setup a YouTube channel for the college. He has worked along with other faculty members and students to create audio-visual content for the YouTube channel. He is also interested in theatre and assists the college theatre team whenever possible.
