Journey of IQAC



ACADEMIC YEAR 2009-2010

The Year 2009-2010 saw IQAC team working earnestly to achieve the plans set forth during the last year as listed out in the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR). Due to increased intervention activities undertaken during the year, the outcomes of the year are listed as below.

• There was a strong rapport between the teachers and students.
• Students had the opportunity to seek clarification with regard to continuous internal assessment procedures. This added to transparency in evaluation system.
• Continuous assessment was made an integral component of the semester system. This ensured that students would work systematically throughout the course.
• The methods of internal assessment laid more emphasis on abilities that are not tested by the end semester examination, leading to overall development of students.
• Learning experience became more interesting through interactive methods and greater involvement of students.
• Better results were achieved as indicated by a higher percentage of pass.
• Students had performed extremely well in extra-curricular activities i.e. Business fests and related events.
• Positive feedbacks were received from the students about the institution and faculty members.


Seminars for Students were conducted on various aspects. The details below bring out the various initiatives undertaken by IQAC in this regard.

• 17th August 09: “You’re Hired! How to Become Employable plus Post Graduate Avenues.” The Do’s and Don’ts of an impressive CV were presented by Ms. Shazia and Ms. Vandana from Skill Bridge
• 18th August 09: “All you need to know about everything that matters in – The Recession”. Ms. Surga Thilakan and Ms. N. Hema successfully gave a factual panorama of the recent global economic Recession.
• 19th August 09: “Energizing Oneself with Electrifying Results.” This topic was explored in terms of how to channel latent talents hidden in an individual.
