IPR Awareness Workshop – “Protecting Student Innovations”

Organised by the Institution's Innovation Cell, this session introduced entrepreneurship students to the fundamentals of Intellectual Property Rights with the guidance of an expert speaker. It reflects the IIC's commitment to equipping young innovators to protect and responsibly commercialise their ideas.

IIC×BBA Seminar with Dr. S Xavier Britto

Held by the IIC in collaboration with the BBA department, this seminar featured Dr. S Xavier Britto, who spoke to students on launching a venture and scaling a business sustainably. It bridged academic learning with real-world entrepreneurial insight, in line with the IIC's mission to nurture a venture-building mindset.

This exhibition traced the evolution of entrepreneurship from its early roots to the modern startup ecosystem. Through it, the IIC encouraged students to learn from the past and think critically about the future of enterprise.

Kalotsav: Student Entrepreneur Stalls

During Kalotsav, the IIC provided a platform for budding entrepreneurs to set up stalls and test their products and ideas with a live audience. The initiative gave students hands-on business experience, supporting the IIC's goal of building a culture of enterprise on campus.

Internal Hackathon for Smart India Hackathon (SIH)

The IIC conducted the institution's internal selection round for the Smart India Hackathon, inviting students to build innovative, problem-driven solutions. It strengthened the IIC's role in identifying talent and preparing teams for national-level innovation platforms.

Startup India Mentoring Session

A Startup India mentor interacted directly with student entrepreneurs, offering practical guidance on building and growing early-stage ventures. The session connected students with the national startup ecosystem, advancing the IIC's objective of mentorship-led innovation.


PENNILAI

Arusha Mary A. and Hendria Lithiel participated in Shepreneur, a women-led startup hackathon under Alliance One, the flagship fest of Alliance University. They presented PENNILAI, a socially impactful startup focused on empowering women. The duo successfully qualified for the final round, gaining valuable exposure to entrepreneurship, innovation, and startup pitching.
