About Mission Magis Initiatives

Mission Magis is a flagship initiative of St. Joseph's College of Commerce that embodies the Jesuit ethos of striving for greater excellence. Launched in November 2025, the initiative is designed to support students from marginalised communities by enhancing their career readiness, employability skills, and long-term employment prospects. Under Mission Magis, eligible students are identified for structured training, industry-aligned mentoring, and direct placement support. The College signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Disciples Corporate School to deliver continued professional training, and trainers were selected to guide students through employability modules and assist them with internships and job placements. A 15-day intensive employability training programme was conducted from 9 to 27 February 2026 for 15 B.Com, BBA, and BA students at SJCC, followed by mock interviews and a dedicated recruitment drive scheduled for 31 March and 2 April 2026. The initiative will progressively expand its reach to more marginalised student communities across Bengaluru, reinforcing SJCC's commitment to inclusive education and social justice through career empowerment.
