An M.Com with special emphasis on Finance, Accounting and associated decision-making courses, including a full-semester corporate internship in the final year.
This intellectually stimulating programme is designed to cultivate well-rounded, academia- and industry-ready professionals with a robust foundation in commerce and management. The curriculum integrates conceptual knowledge with practical application, developing the analytical and research skills essential for success in both academia and industry. With a strong emphasis on research, students take courses in Research Methodology, Statistical Packages and Dissertation Writing, and gain valuable experience presenting research papers at seminars and conferences. Practical training covers business essentials such as company valuation using MS Excel, Fintech, and business intelligence tools including Tableau. The programme extends beyond academics through sessions on recent industry developments, quantitative techniques, aptitude and logical reasoning, case-based learning and managerial communication. Experiential learning is at its core, with field visits, summer internships and teaching practice, a compulsory rural exposure programme and participation in social welfare initiatives that connect theoretical knowledge to real-world challenges and build a commitment to social responsibility. Students may also earn a dual qualification — a Master of Commerce (M.Com) degree together with a Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in a specialisation of their choice: Financial Management, Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Marketing Management or Data Science.
It is mandatory for all candidates seeking admission to 1st year of the Postgraduate programme to have completed a B.Com or BBA degree from any recognized university and have secured at least 50% of the mark in the aggregate of all core papers studied in the qualifying examinations are eligible for admission into this programme.
Candidates are interviewed on Finance, Accountancy, Economics, Management, General Knowledge and Current Affairs.
Selected candidates are notified for a personal interview and document verification, bringing valid ID, Class X & XII marks cards, degree marks cards (all semesters), caste certificate (if applicable), parish priest letter (if Catholic), and e-admit card.
Admission Registration fee (Non-Refundable): Rs. 5,000. The fee is fixed for one year, with a nominal annual increase.

Guidelines for filling out the application:
Application form to be filled (fill in all applicable fields) and submitted online through the college website (www.sjcc.edu.in).
On the success of the payment transaction and submission of the online application please note down the 8-digit Application Number generated by the software. The same should be quoted for all further correspondences during the time of admissions.
As soon as the results are announced the marks should be entered online and submitted online on or before the deadlines mentioned on the website.
The final list of the provisionally selected candidates and the schedule of the interview/orientation can be viewed on the website and applicant login. Provisionally selected candidates will be intimated through applicant login/E-mail.
Applicants who are selected for the interview/orientation should bring along with them the hard copy of:
