Waste Management Materials

The college has a provision for Solid waste management. Segregation of waste starts at the classroom itself. Each classroom is equipped with two dust bins – one for biodegradable and the other for non-biodegradable substances. Liquid and other non-biodegradable waste gathered from the college canteen is given to the municipality (BBMP) garbage collectors on a daily basis.

Any hazardous waste materials that are produced in the campus are disposed off, in a safe and responsible manner. The cleaning staff are kept well-informed about the disposal process. Steps taken in this regard helps the institution respond to environmental needs effectively.

Wet waste converter – The Eco club, in collaboration with Solwearth Ecotech Pvt.Ltd worked towards betterment of wet waste management in campus as we have a capacity intake increase which is having its impact on higher collection of waste as well and in order to efficiently utilize the available space, the wet waste has to be processed in much shorter duration. Hence, feasibility to install a wet waste converting machine was looked into, which was positive and the machine installation process is in progress with the support of the management
