About the Association

The National Service Scheme (NSS) of SJCC embodies the motto “Not Me, But You.” It encourages students to contribute selflessly to society through awareness drives, rural camps, and clean-up initiatives. By working with diverse communities, NSS volunteers develop empathy and leadership skills that go beyond academics. The unit stands as a living example of youth-driven change through compassion and commitment.

Objectives

  • To cultivate a sense of social responsibility and civic duty among students.
  • To engage students in social outreach and rural development initiatives.
  • To promote leadership, discipline, and teamwork through community service.

Outcome

The National Service Scheme (NSS) develops socially responsible and service-oriented students by fostering leadership, teamwork, civic responsibility, and community engagement. Through active participation in outreach programmes and volunteer initiatives, students develop empathy, organizational skills, and a commitment to contributing positively to society.
